Double Homicide In New Bedford: Men Shot In Car
Two men in a vehicle were shot and killed in New Bedford Tuesday, according to the Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn.

NEW BEDFORD, MA — Two men were shot to death in New Bedford Tuesday, authorities said. The victims were a 27-year-old Taunton man and a 28-year-old New Bedford man, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn. The men were in a Honda Accord on Central Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. when witnesses said someone opened fire and the car crashed into a parked vehicle, Quinn said in a statement.
The Taunton man, who was driving, was identified as Stephen Bodden. He died at the scene. The New Bedford man died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. His identity was withheld Tuesday pending notification of family.

"It is an extremely active investigation at this time, and no further information can be released currently," Quinn said in a statement.
