Drunk Attleboro Mom Crashes Near Canadian Border: Cops

Vermont State Police said Attleboro resident Heidi Young was drunk with children in her vehicle when she crashed near the Canadian border.

HIGHGATE, VT — An Attleboro mother was arrested earlier this month after police said she was drunk driving with three children in her vehicle and crashed in northern Vermont near the Canadian border. Heidi Young, 44, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment. The crash happened August 5 in the town of Highgate, according to Vermont State Police.

Police said Young was attempting to cross the border when she rear-ended a vehicle that in turn struck another vehicle. No one was hurt, police said. Young's three children were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, police said.

Young was released and scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court August 28. She was also arrested for drunk driving in Attleboro in April, according to the Sun Chronicle.
