Tonight we are hosting a showing of Susan Saladoff’s award winning documentary "Hot Coffee." The film describes the infamous MacDonalds "hot coffee" case and how the media has reported the case, shaped it into the poster child for alleged frivolous lawsuits and created a movement to limit citizen’s civil jury trial rights. Local attorney Theodore Koban will facilitate a discussion afterward.
The event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Attleboro Area Bar Association to promote a better understanding of the function the civil justice system plays in American society. Admission is free.
