Join us for our annual pilgramage north for a chance to observe some of the thousands of hawks that migrate through on their way to warmer climes. This year we are headed to Mount Monadnock on the southern NH border. Mount Monadnock is 2,290 feet high and is part of a north/south running ridge which many migrating raptors follow on their trip south. On clear days views reach to Mount Washinton, the skyscrapers of Boston and the Vermont hills. Migrants may include broad-winged, coopers, bald eagels, American Kestrels and peregrine falcons.
Instructions and Directions: We will meet at the base parking lot at Miller State Park at 9am (call for directions). Be sure to pack your binoculars, lunch, and layers of warm clothing.
Fee includes admission to Miller State Park.
