This trip proceeds from Oak Knoll lot to the Quabbin Reservoir for most of the day. The 60,000 acre "Rez" includes a nice visitor center and we will stop at no less than 5 prime birding sites including: the Orchard, Enfield look-out, Gate 52, Windsor dam, and Goodnough dike. Stops at Quabaog Pond in Brookfield on the way home. Probable sightings include migratory and resident songbirds, raptors and waterfowl as well as American Crow, Fish Crow, Raven and Blue Jay. Wear sturdy boots, bring lunch and bug spray. Photographers welcome.
