FBinsure Acquires Hardy & Ponte Insurance Agency

Attleboro, MA, February 11, 2016 – FBinsure, with an office in Attleboro, announces that as of January 2016 it has acquired the Hardy & Ponte Insurance Agency, an independent agency, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts on Mt. Pleasant Street originally founded by Arthur J. Hardy Jr. and George P. Ponte. Current President of Hardy & Ponte Insurance Agency, Jeff Hardy, will maintain a transitional role within the agency throughout the process to ensure a smooth shift to the FBinsure brand for the agency’s near 1,000 clients.

Early changes to the agency will be minor, mainly aimed at updating technology and providing greater access to new companies.

This serves as the third of three acquisitions for FBinsure in the past two years, who acquired Gramlich Insurance Agency of New Bedford in late 2014, then Henry L. Newbury Insurance Agency, of North Attleboro in early 2015. FBinsure can now count ten total locations throughout Bristol and Plymouth Counties, including their offices in Taunton, Attleboro, Middleboro, Dighton, Rehoboth, East Freetown, New Bedford and North Attleboro.
