German Shepherd Found Dead In Parking Lot, Police Investigating

Police are searching for who left the dog in the North Attleboro parking lot. Warning: The picture may be disturbing to some.

NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA — Police are trying to find out who left a German Shepherd that was found dead in a parking lot Sunday. The MSPCA-Angell and North Attleboro Police said the female dog was found in the lot of Ruth Rhind recreational park on Huntsbridge Road. The dog is believed to be between 5-8 years old and is sable-colored.

The dog was laying on a sheet and comforter and covered in gray lightweight plastic tarp, the MSPCA-Angell said.

Animal cruelty is a felony that is punishable by up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
