BOSTON, MA — Revelers coming from Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade were horrified as a North Attleboro man offered them drugs then dropped a loaded gun in a crowded MBTA bus.

Nichola Cossette, 25, was arrested Sunday and charged with several gun offenses. Police said they didn't find drugs on him.

It happened Sunday following the parade, police said. Cossette was aboard a bus headed for South Station when he went around asking passengers if they wanted to buy some drugs. No one took him up on the offer, police said.

Passengers who saw him drop the gun told police, who located him quickly and took him into custody.

"If you see something, say something,” Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley said in a statment. “These passengers did just that, and they helped take an illegal firearm off the streets of Boston.”
