THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS) CENTER AT STURDY MEMORIAL TO HOLD FREE OPEN HOUSE MAY 21

The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Center at Sturdy Memorial Hospital is presenting a FREE Open House on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5:30 - 6:30pm at the Hospital. To register for the Open House, call Public Relations at 508-236-8020.

MS is a disease that disrupts communication between the brain and the rest of the body. This translates into symptoms like weakness, numbness, vision problems, and fatigue, which can make movements and activities an ongoing challenge. Sturdy’s MS Center provides local access to treatments that minimize the progression and impact of MS and improve well-being. A multidisciplinary team works together to develop individualized care plans. Treatments include medications, BOTOX® and TYSABRI® for spasticity, Medtronic pump management, and physical, occupational, and speech/language therapy, among other treatments and services.
