'Heartbreaking' Animal Abuse Case in Attleboro
"Hope" was found severely emaciated at a mobile home park this week.

An emaciated dog was rescued by the Attleboro Animal Shelter this week.
“Hope” was found with a collar and leash walking around the Oak Hill mobile home park.
The dog’s nail are overgrown, her paw pads are burned, and she was “covered in filth.” She weights about 38 pounds when she should weigh closer to 60. Shelter officials said her condition is “heartbreaking.”

“Through all of this, Hope’s stub has not stopped wagging,” the shelter said in a statement.
Attleboro animal control is trying to locate the dog’s owner. Anyone with information is asked to call 508-761-5617.

Shelter officials are accepting donations for the animal’s recovery.
