Obituary: Clarence R. Amaral

Clarence R. Amaral, 81, of County St., Attleboro, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Sandra (Proulx) Amaral.

Mr. Amaral was born in Attleboro, a son of the late August & Flavia (Raposa) Amaral. He was a meat cutter / manager for the A & P Stores for more than 35 years, before retiring in 1979. Mr. Amaral was a US Navy veteran serving during Korea. He was a lifelong Attleboro resident, a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church. He was an avid gardener.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son David Amaral of Warwick, RI, two daughters Cynthia Amaral of Warwick, RI, Shayne Amaral of Providence, RI, two brothers Henry Amaral of Swansea, John Amaral of Wickford, RI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Amaral was the grandfather of Joshua Amaral, Justin Amaral, Brian Marques Jr, and also the great grandfather of Jayden Amaral. He was the brother of the late August R. Amaral Jr.

A memorial mass will be held, Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10 a.m., in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 71 Linden St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
