Obituary: William "Bill" Robert Dargis

Mr. William Dargis worked at the Stern-Leach Company in Attleboro.

William "Bill" Robert Dargis, 59, formerly of Attleboro, passed peacefully in Taunton on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the home of his sister, Brenda. Born in Attleboro on Oct. 21, 1953, he was a son of the late Henry L. Dargis, Sr. and Mary (Tannock) Dargis.

Bill was raised in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He worked at Stern-Leach Company in Attleboro as a machinist for 35 years until retiring due to illness. He enjoyed bike riding, traveling, camping, and especially fishing. He was also a New England Patriots fan and an avid pool player.

Bill is survived by two brothers; Jay Dargis of Jacksonville, Florida, and Henry L. Dargis, Jr. of North Attleboro, two sisters; Brenda Thibodeau of Taunton and Christine Chartier of Attleboro, a niece; Lisa Brodeur of Taunton, and a nephew; Allen Thibodeau of Taunton.

Arrangements were handled by Duffy-Poule Funeral Home and there was a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro, celebrated by Rev. Riley Williams, Parochial Vicar. Bill was laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.
