I-95 Traffic: Attleboro Crash Causes 10-Mile Delay

There was a crash involving multiple vehicles in Attleboro on Interstate 95 Friday, causing a 10-mile traffic backup.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Multiple people were hurt in a serious crash in Attleboro on Interstate 95 Friday afternoon. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened at about 2:30 p.m. Part of the highway was shut down as crews responded to the scene and traffic was backed up 10 miles to Mansfield.

State Police said the crash happened on the southbound side of the highway near Exit 2. The crash happened during a period of heavy rain. A flash flood watch was in effect for Attleboro at the time.

As of 3:45 p.m., there was a 10-mile traffic backup on I-95 south from Mansfield to Attleboro as crews attended to the victims. State Police said the highway was reopened shortly after 3:45 p.m.
