The proper focus will be dissuaded from where it belongs tonight, in that there will be an attempt by Council 'leadership' will try to keep comments strictly on whether the City should borrow money.
The focus really should be that there would be NO NEED for this expenditure if Mayor Dumas had not proceeded illegally against Milanoski and Ross, or had agreed to the offer to settle for a paltry $30,000. Instead, the voters must collectively pay somewhere on the order of $1.5 mil, plus legal expenses (which will be considerable).
Thus is the fair question: should such reckless and irresponsible conduct by Dumas be considered a crime?
