Sting Operation At Attleboro T Lot: 1 Arrested
Attleboro police said they set up a surveillance operation after a string of vehicle break-ins at the downtown MBTA parking lot.

ATTLEBORO, MA — Attleboro police on Monday arrested a vehicle break-in suspect at the downtown MBTA parking lot on South Main Street during a surveillance operation. The sting was held after a string of reports of vehicle break-ins at the lot in recent weeks. The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was charged with a host of crimes.

Police said a "short time" into the operation, the 29-year-old suspect was seen breaking into a vehicle and stealing valuables inside.

"He was quickly apprehended and taken into custody," Attleboro police said in a statement. "He is charged with multiple offenses relative to the break-in and theft, as well as charges for drug possession and carrying a dangerous weapon."
