STURDY OFFERS CLASSROOM-BASED

CPR AND FIRST AID COURSE

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is holding a Heart Saver/CPR and First Aid Course on Saturday, November 21 in Del’s Place, located in the Hospital near the Emergency Care Center. The CPR part of the course will take place from 8 - 11:30am and cost $50; First Aid instruction will be from 12 - 3pm and cost $40. The total cost for both sections is $90. This class can be taken together or individually and is open to the public.

Participants will learn first aid basics (scene safety and calling for help); medical emergencies (choking and breathing problems); injury emergencies (actions for bleeding, broken bones and burns); and environmental emergencies (bites and stings, temperature related and poison emergencies). Intended audience is anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid and/or CPR AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. The course is taught by a certified CPR/First Aide Instructor. To register for this classroom-based course, please contact Jean Stringham in Nursing Administration at 508-236-7151.
