Viewfinder:Take an Online Tour of Attleboro's Historic Homes

The Attleboro Historial Society held their annual house tour to raise money to renovate the Academy Building.

Today's Viewfinder will allow you to take a peek at three of the houses that were featured in the 2011 Attleboro Historical Preservation Society, Annual House Tour.

This year's tour will continue to raise funds for the renovations on the society's headquarters the East Attleboro Academy on Sanford Street. The society has received funds to make some major repairs to the roof, the heating system and building a wheelchair ramp. According to Bette Fuller the next step will be to install a new door and continue to repair the interior in hopes to hold their meetings in the building.

This year's tour included five homes and included a cape cod farmhouse built in 1815, a stone house celebrating its 100 birthday, a home where renovations revealed hidden art work, a New Englander overlooking a pond and a typical colonial.
