Live at The Red Room @ Cafe 939 8PM $10 in advance $12 day of

Last year, the Wind and the Wave (Dwight Baker and Patricia Lynn) released their debut album, From the Wreckage, with RCA Records. The album glows with a rootsy golden tone that encompasses everything from indie folk to alternative to blues rock to Southern psychedelia. The raucous first single, “With Your Two Hands,” sounds like it could have been written during an impromptu back-porch jam session. Baker and Lynn have just released their second single, “It’s a Longer Road to California than I Thought.”

Raised in New York, folk singer-songwriter Brian Dunne has won a lot of attention and praise with his sharp lyrical prowess and country-influenced vocals. Dunne has played in the U.S. folk scene far and wide and cites influences such as Bob Dylan, the Band, and Bruce Springsteen. One can hear his roots winding through the sound and style of his songwriting and performing. After graduating from Berklee in 2011, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides. Following up 2012’s The Brooklyn Bridge EP, which received praise from John Mayer, among others, Dunne released his first full-length record, Songs From the Hive, in February 2015.
