7/16 Dreamer & Son / TRY / Brandon Shah (FREE SHOW)

Ambient rock band Dreamer & Son is out to change the world. Formed in Boston with members from all across the U.S., the young quartet puts heart and passion at the forefront of their music. Fans of Tides of Man, Gates, and Kings of Leon will hear their inspiration in Dreamer & Son's unique, memorable songs. On the stage or in the studio, they capture the full spectrum of human emotion with soft verses, aggressive choruses, and an explosive live performance. Dreamer & Son aims to break down genre barriers and build a diverse family, a community based on love and acceptance.

TRY began as a mix of virtuoso slide guitarist Niles Elliott and songwriter Dylan Edmunds, who met and began collaborating during their first year at Berklee College of Music. A year later, Dylan's brother, Conner, arrived at Berklee and joined the collaboration. The three of them began writing and rehearsing in search of a sound they could call their own. With specialties in sound design, MIDI programming, and pop production, TRY's style is maturing into a hybrid of rock and electronica. TRY recently released a single titled “The Artist." Conner and Dylan recorded this track in 2012 along with Aaron Hellam at Hellam Sound in Oakland, California. “The Artist ” is an early representation of TRY, and the band is currently producing their first EP.

Raw, soulful, comforting, troubled, moving, blissful, authentic – characterizing Brandon Shah’s music and person is a difficult task. Shah auditioned for The X-Factor: Season 2 on a whim when he was 15 and watched his voice take him to the top 24 from a bird’s eye view. With the acclaim, he toured internationally, starting in the United States and making it as far as London, two years after his television debut. His self-described genre of soul-folk transcends its implications with powerful storytelling and vocals. The music Shah has made available to the world is in his first EP, Young Love. Comprising five songs written during the summer of 2014, before Shah came to Berklee, the EP encompasses all the raw, unadulterated emotions associated with learning to love for the first time.
