• Life sciences lawyer Megan Gates takes over as Pine Street Inn's new board chair (bostonglobe.com) — Back Bay residents will soon see 111 supportive housing units open in the former YWCA building, part of Pine Street Inn's push to move people from homelessness into permanent apartments. New board chair Megan Gates, a longtime volunteer and life sciences lawyer, is helping steer these projects, which also include major developments in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester backed by big Boston employers.
