• Downtown Boston residents report feeling less safe amid rising concerns (wcvb.com) — Downtown residents say they feel less safe than a year ago, with concerns about needles, drug activity, and homelessness spilling in from areas including Mass. and Cass, the South End, and now Back Bay. A neighborhood survey of 400 people found more than half feel less safe, prompting calls for a stronger and more consistent police presence to restore confidence in local streets.
