Bill Laurance To Perform At The David Friend Recital Hall

Bill Laurance, Grammy Award winner and original member of Snarky Puppy, will perform live at the David Friend Recital Hall.

Bill Laurance, the Grammy Award winner and original member of the internationally acclaimed Snarky Puppy, released his debut album, FLINT, in 2014. It went straight to No. 1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts. He also received international critical acclaim for the album. His second album, SWIFT, was released on GroundUP music in spring 2015.

As a classically trained musician and a professional since his teen years, Laurance has toured internationally as a pianist, keyboard player, composer, producer, and arranger. He has worked with such artists as David Crosby, Bobby McFerrin, Lalah Hathaway, Laura Mvula, and Musiq Soul Child, and such dance companies such as Alvin Ailey, Ballet Rambert, and Matthew Bourne’s Adventures in Motion Pictures. Laurance’s own music production company, Twenty Thousand, specializes in music for film, TV, and commercials and has worked with Apple, Sky Broadband, and Nokia. A specialist lecturer at the Institute of Contemporary Music in London, Laurance also gives clinics at music institutions around the world.
