Boston Celtics at Top of the Hub's Skywalk
Slam Dunk Party for the New Year with Children from the Boston Centers for Youth and Families.

As part of the Season of Giving, the Boston Celtics spread New Year’s greetings to 60 children from the Boston Centers for Youth and Families. Celtics players and coaches played games with the kids before presenting them with gifts and surprises.
The party was hosted by Top of the Hub’s Skywalk, located on the 50th floor of The Prudential Tower, 800 Boylston Street in Boston.
Those attending the party, presented by Optum, included: Celtics players Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Gerald Green, Marcus Smart (above, with guests), Terry Rozier, James Young, Jonas Jerebko, Jordan Mickey, Kelly Olynyk, Head Coach Brad Stevens, and Boston Celtics Mascot “Lucky” the Leprechaun, among others.

“Spending time and giving back to the children of the Boston Centers for Youth and Families definitely put a smile on my face today,” said Bradley. “It was great that my teammates and I could come here to Top of the Hub’s Skywalk to spread the holiday cheer.”
The children at the Skywalk Observatory feasted on a buffet of delicious eats and treats provided by Top of the Hub’s Executive Chef Stefan Jarausch and his culinary team. Additionally, Executive Pastry Chef Tommy Choi created trays of sugar cookies representing the green and white jerseys of the Celtics players in attendance.

Top of the Hub (and its corporate owner, Select Restaurants, Inc.) maintains a long history of partnering with the Boston Celtics on their events and celebrations for children.
Among those volunteering their time were singer/musician Bradley Bartlett-Roche, who played throughout the event, and executive staff members from WHERE Magazine who artistically manned the Face Painting booths.
Celtics players and coaching staff surprised each child with a holiday themed gift to conclude the afternoon.
Boston Centers for Youth and Families provides support for children, youth, individuals, and families through a wide range of specialized programs and services. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Boston, and helps sustain neighborhood needs.
