Bowery Boston presents country singer-songwriter Steve Moakler with Shelley Skidmore and Greg Best live at the Red Room April 29th at 8pm!

The versatility of Steve Moakler’s music goes beyond his magnetic pull as an artist. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in music in 2006. In the last 12 months he has been named to be an artist to watch by Rolling Stone Country, CMT, Bobby Bones,Huffington Post, and New England Country Music, among others. He was recently featured on Spotify’s Spotlight on Country 2016 playlist and the iTunes New Artist Spotlight in the country genre. Moakler continues to build a platform in the country market, working with Grammy-winning producer Luke Laird on his forthcoming record. The first single off the album is “Suitcase”, which is currently playing on SiriusXM’s The Highway. His song “Riser” gained national attention as the title track and latest single off Dierks Bentley’s record with Billboard Magazine, naming Bentley’s performance as the best moment at the 2015 ACM Awards.

Country singer-songwriter Shelley Skidmore grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Stanton, Kentucky. Growing up in a musical family, Skidmore has been singing ever since she can remember. At five, she started singing in church and went on to perform at various events around Eastern Kentucky. Skidmore moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University where she earned her degree in music business. She signed a publishing deal with Wrensong Music Publishing in 2013 and is currently in the studio working on new music with Grammy-winning producer Paul Worley. A regular artist at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, Skidmore’s songs “Done Runnin’”and “I’ve Got You and You’ve Got Me” have been featured on ABC’s primetime series Nashville.

Greg Bates is an artist, songwriter, and producer born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, a true product of the Music City. Over the years, he has honed his skills, recording and working with some of the best musical talent in Nashville. His debut record in 2012 included the Top 5 hit “Did It for the Girl,” making Bates one of the few new artists that year to crack the Top 5 with a debut single. He also has years of road experience, touring with the likes of Randy Travis, Willie Nelson, and Brantley Gilbert, just to name a few. Bates is currently writing and producing for a forthcoming project.
