Singer-songwriters Casey McQuillen and TASH are performing at the Red Room @ Cafe 939 on October 3 at 8PM.
Whether at home in New England or around the world on American Idol, Casey McQuillen’s fans fell in love with her catchy, melancholy songs and powerful voice. A singer-songwriter from Boston, she sings of young love, heartbreak, and personal struggle, highlighting the joy and pain we all share. She was a Top 48 contestant on season 13 of American Idol and has amassed well over a million hits on her YouTube channel. With attention pouring in from young teens, McQuillen founded a charity program called the “You Matter” Tour to start a discussion with students about positive self-image, work ethic, and respect for others. Over the past three years, her interactive school concert has used her original music to engage students in a conversation about bullying and self-confidence.
Boston-based artist TASH is a singer-songwriter with an old soul. TASH’s music acts as a bridge between the heart of urbanity and the depth of nature. Her unique folk/pop sound, sung with effortless grace and deep roots to the earth, captures the individuality and freedom that she stands for.
