Celebrate Archeology Month at the Colonial-Inspired Tap Trailhouse
Explore the dining of Boston's past with The Boston Landmarks Commission on Tuesday, October 20

The Boston Landmarks Commission (BLC) is celebrating their 40th anniversary at The Tap Trailhouse with City Archaeologist Joe Bagley. Bagley and the BLC will educate guests on the history of Boston dining as they enjoy colonial-inspired bites just steps off the historic Freedom Trail.
In celebration of The Boston Landmark Commission’s 40th anniversary, the BLC is hosting a series of programs to enhance and enrich the city’s historical identity. The final event of the series titled “Thanks for Mutton: the Archaeology of Food and Drink at the Colonial Tavern” is a unique event led by City Archaeologist Joe Bagley that will dive into the history of dining and drinking in Boston. Join Mr. Bagley at The Tap Trailhouse as he explores Boston’s past through eating and imbibing and discusses the artifacts excavated at the Three Cranes Tavern (1635-1775).
Admission for event is free and open to the public. Guests must register for tickets through Eventbrite. Colonial-inspired bites and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
