Ciné-Club de l'Alliance: Le Passé

In Le Passé, a 2013 Franco-Iranian movie, Asghar Farhadi is telling us again the story of a family as he did in the Oscar-winning film A Separation (2011).

Coming back to finalize his divorce, Ahmad, an Iranian man, arrives
in France after four years to meet his ex-wife Marie and her daughters
from her previous marriage. She is in a relationship with an Arab man
named Samir who has a son and whose wife is in a coma.

The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or award at the 2013 Cannes
Film Festival and won the festival's Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. The
French actress Bérénice Bejo also won the festival's Best Actress Award.
