Crossroads Presents: Fiction Plane

Fiction Plane, an alternative/indie-rock band formed in London, engages listeners with their gritty vocals and melodic guitar lines. The band, which includes lead vocalist/guitar/bassist Joe Sumner, guitarist Seton Daunt, and drummer Pete Wilhoit, released their first major album in 2003. The album, Everything Will Never Be OK, was released by MCA Records, which later folded and resulted in the group moving over to Geffen Records. The album received a lot of praise from listeners, and led to the band being labeled a Breaker Artist by AOL Music. In 2007, the band released The Left Side of the Brain under Bieler Brothers Records. It reached number 46 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and shortly after, it was also released in Japan with Sideout Records.

Released in February 2015, Fiction Plane’s most recent album, Mondo Lumina, is considered their most unique. It features intimate vocals and a more textural approach to their musical style than their previous records.
