Crossroads Presents: Mirah / Jherek Bischoff
Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn is a singer-songwriter who has been creating independent pop music since the late 1990s.

Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn is a singer-songwriter who has been creating independent pop music since the late 1990s. She has released over a dozen solo and collaborative recordings on K Records, Kill Rock Stars, and various domestic and foreign independent labels. Defined by her graceful songwriting and adventuresome recordings, Pitchfork has praised her, saying that she has an “incredible voice, a versatile coo that can flit from low, sultry tones to high, airy falsetto in one breath.”
Los Angeles–based multi-instrumentalist Jherek Bischoff is equal parts composer, arranger, and producer. Hailed as a “pop polymath” by the New York Times, a “phenom” by the New Yorker, and “the missing link between the sombre undertones of Ennio Morricone and the unpredictability of John Cale” by NME, Bischoff has blazed an unconventional path in creating an impressive body of work in his 30-odd years. After spending most of the '00s touring and recording in DIY indie-rock and experimental groups including the Dead Science, Parenthetical Girls, and the Degenerate Art Ensemble, he has found himself creating orchestral music.
