Dead Poet Society and Daephne take the stage at the Red Room @ Cafe 939 / February 4 / 8pm / Free
Dead Poet Society is an indie/hard rock band based out of Boston. The band’s latest EP, AXIOM, is a perfect example of the diverse yet seamless sound that they’re capable of creating. Coming from very different backgrounds musically, the members’ influences range from Rage against the Machine to Imagine Dragons to Led Zeppelin to Coldplay, and more. Their sound was recently compared to that of Tom Morello but with anthemic, stadium-rock chants in the chorus.
Dæphne is a three-piece bummer rock band from Boston. After their first EP release through Funeral Sounds, the band has now released their first full-length album, offering a sound rooted in grunge.
