Starting July 2014, The Boston Center of Adult Education (BCAE) is offering a musical theatre workshop taught by Kerry Dowling, a SpeakEasy Outstanding Artist and Brian Patton, an Independent Reviewer of New England (IRNE) award winner. Over the course of six weeks, students will have a chance to work one on one with some of the industry’s top artists to develop their theater skills as well as improving their vocal abilities.
Both Dowling and Patton are veterans in the theater and music industry. Kerry Dowling, member of Actor’s Equity, performed with the BGMC Chorus, and is featured on the recordings of Oz and Beyond and Razzle Dazzle. Brian Patton, a singer, pianist and music director, has performed on Broadway in “The Kvetching Continues.” He also led Joan Rivers’ onstage band throughout their Boston performance.
