Lecturer Steven Flamm, MD, a Gastroenterologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Ill to give presentation on HCV

Burlington, Mass. – September 13, 2012 – Lahey Lahey Clinic will hold the 18^th annual Robert E. Crozier, MD Lecture in Gastroenterology on September 21. Hosted by Lahey’s Medical Grand Rounds, lecturer Steven Flamm, MD, a gastroenterologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Ill., will give a presentation entitled “HCV, Where We Are and Where We're Going.”

The Crozier Lecture is supported by the Robert E. Crozier, MD Gastroenterology Endowment Fund. The fund was established through the generous support of Lucile and Amory Carhart, Sr., and approximately 200 donors in honor of Dr. Crozier, who retired from Lahey in 1993 after providing nearly 40 years of exceptional care to patients, mentoring rising physicians, and publishing research. Dr. Crozier will be in attendance at the lecture, which will start at 7:30 am and will be held in the Alumni Auditorium at 41 Mall Road in Burlington, Mass. Paid parking is available in the garage. 

Dr. Crozier and his wife, Mary Crozier, a longtime Boston reporter and media consultant, have lived in Boston’s Back Bay for over 40 years and also reside in York, Maine. They have two children, Julia and Matthew. A native of Portland, Maine, Dr. Crozier attended Bowdoin College and Georgetown Medical School.  He served for two years in the Southwest Pacific during World War II as a Naval officer in the amphibious forces. Dr. Crozier, now 89, is active in the University Club of Boston and the Woodlands in Falmouth, Maine.
