On January 19th, to commemorate the 203rd birthday of America’s master of the macabre, the Edgar Allan Poe Foundation of Boston is sponsoring a free public celebration at The Boston Public Library in Copley Square.
The event will feature a talk on Poe's connections to Boston by Poe Foundation Chairman and Boston College Professor Paul Lewis, the presentation of design proposals from the three finalists in the Edgar Allan Poe Square Public Art Project by project manager Jean Mineo, a fun-filled Poe Trivia Game with prizes awarded to audience members for their Poe knowledge, plus a rare appearance by the author himself. Held in the Boston Room.
