As Jonathan Swift once wrote, "Where there is no vision, there is no hope."
The New England College of Optometry will present "Profiles In Vision" from 6 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. Featuring cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, an array of desserts, entertainment, raffle prizes, an impressive photo exhibition, and a special multimedia presentation, the evening will honor the humanitarian work of Rick Guidotti, founder of Positive Exposure, and Peter Ash, founder of Under the Same Sun, both of whom will receive Presidential Medals from College President, Clifford Scott.
Hosted by WCVB-TV News Anchor Susan Wornick, "Profiles In Vision" benefits the College's student scholarship programs as well as eye care services by New England Eye for underserved communities throughout the Commonwealth. Event tickets are $200 per person and are available by visiting www.neco.edu.

The College is also the preeminent educator of primary eye care leaders in the world, provides eye care for more than 700,000 veterans through its partnership with the VA Boston Healthcare System and has trained optometrists working in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
Rick Guidotti
Founder & Director, Positive Exposure
Internationally renowned fashion photographer Rick Guidotti founded Positive Exposure to challenge the stigma associated with physical differences. Pioneering a new vision of the beauty and richness of genetic diversity, Rick’s Life Magazine photo essay, “Redefining Beauty,” won the Genetic Alliance’s “Art of Reporting” award.
Peter Ash
Founder & CEO, Under The Same Sun
A passionate entrepreneur and philanthropist, Peter Ash has committed his efforts and resources to serving and protecting children with albinism in Tanzania.
