During the summer 1940, the French composer Francis Poulenc improvised on the adventures of the famous French children's character for his young cousin. Later, to keep this memory, he wrote one of his most beautiful pieces.

The pianist Damien Luce presents a recital around this piece also including works by Schuman, Liszt, Prokoviev and Grieg.

Damien Luce graduated from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris and the Julliard School of New York. He performs in France and in the United States, for the Chopin Festival in Paris and at the Alice Tully Hall in New York. He also won the concerto concert at the Aspen International Music Festival in Colorado.

In addition, Damien Luce is also a writer, comedian and composer.

Damien Luce likes to explore unknown parts of the piano repertory and to share his discoveries. His love for literature also leads him to poetical themes such as nature, childhood, or mythology.
