Say Cheese! Cheese Tasting at the French Cultural Center

Come savor some of the finest cheeses from France!

Cécile Delannes of the French Cheese Club will be our guide as we sample a variety of cheeses from different regions in France including Burgundy, Rhône-Alpes and Provence. While we enjoy wine with our cheese, we will also learn about cheese production methods that have been passed down from generation to generation in established, French fromageries. We will taste unique, unusual cheeses, as well as rediscover some classics. Award-winners, such as Chaource (served with champagne) and Epoisses (Napoléon Bonaparte's favorite fromage), will also be featured.

Hailing from Cantal, the leading French département in cheese production, Cécile was exposed to diverse cheeses at a young age and consequently developed a strong interest in the cheese-making process. In September, 2007, Cécile's passion for cheese led her to accept the position of Ambassadress of the French Cheese Club. Located in France, the French Cheese Club is an association of five family-owned fromageries which specialize in the production of traditional French cheeses.

Un grand merci to Clear Flour Bread for donating French baguettes for this event.
