Wine Riot!

The world of wine can seem intimidating and difficult to navigate for those simply looking to learn more. Not so at the Wine Riot, an event created by Second Glass, a company that uses highly interactive events and social media to bring consumers and wineries together.

“Wine Riot is all about learning about wine but having a lot of fun at the same time. It’s different from traditional tastings or wine events because every region of the world is represented and mapped out geographically so people can cruise from California, to South America and over to Europe. But that’s just the beginning, we use mobile technology via an “app” –(available for iPhone and Android users) - that helps people navigate the event and easily remember every wine they try. It’s super simple to use and after the event it’ll even point them to local stores that carry all these awesome wines. When guests have question about wine, and everyone does, we have a Wine Intelligence Unit (WIU) that answers any question people have.” says Tyler Balliet, Founder of Second Glass

On April 20th, 2012 – April 21st, 2012, Second Glass will kick off its 2012 Wine Riot back where it all started on its home turf in Boston, MA at The Boston Park Plaza Castle located at 50 Arlington Street.

Guests can look forward to tasting over 250 wines from across the globe while tagging, rating and remembering them for later purchase using the free mobile app (http://secondglass.com/wineriot/mobile/), cheese provided by Cabot® Creamery Cooperative and chocolate provided by Taza Chocolate, interactive booths staffed by the industry’s premier wine experts, 20-minute crash course seminars offered throughout the riot, music by DJ Andie Cassette, (http://www.myspace.com/thisiscassette) custom designed temporary tattoos by the talented Miss Holly Gordon (http://missgordon.com/) and a pop-up photo booth to ensure guests capture their “good side” before dropping their images on social media live from the event!

Guests can also munch on some mouthwatering food pairings for a few extra bucks ($5-$10 average) from vendors such as Cow and Crumb and Roxy’s Grilled Cheese to name a few!

You have three chances to experience Wine Riot while the tour is in Boston:
