Zotero--Learn to Use a New Research Tool

Zotero is a program that helps people record, organize, access, and cite their research more easily.

Download and create citations from information from the web and elsewhere, attach notes to citations, create standalone notes to record ideas, etc. as you research, and many other things. This will be a hands-on workshop! Have Firefox (any version) and Zotero software version 3.x, available to download free from http://www.zotero.org loaded onto your laptop before you arrive at the class.

This class will be especially helpful for people researching their family tree.

In order to attend, you must register at socsciref@bpl.org before Tuesday, March 20.

If you don't have a laptop, specify that you need one when you register, and the library will provide one for you for the duration of the class.
