An Evening with Kenny Werner and Friends

Berklee Performance Center 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115, United States Tuesday / February 2, 2016 / 8:00 p.m.

Kenny Werner, the artistic director of the Effortless Mastery Institute, believes that mastery is available to everyone. An accomplished jazz pianist in his own right, he uses his life story and experiences to explore the barriers to creativity and mastery of music. His book Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within is one of the most widely read books on music and improvisation, and has helped thousands of musicians around the world unlock their talent and potential.

Werner frequently presents a lecture and workshop series and leads small-group lessons on effortless mastery. He teaches the classes Effortless Mastery I and II based on the four steps of his book, and his presentations and the effortless mastery forums are open to all students, faculty, and staff who wish to attend. Werner also teaches effortless mastery ensembles and composition classes.

In this performance, Werner will play with a group.
