Gibbs College Is Now Sanford Brown College
The Newbury Street college changed its name earlier this month.
of Boston officially changed it's name to Sanford-Brown College, a private, two-year college focused on healthcare, with 37 locations around the country.
The college, on 126 Newbury Street, was originally founded in 1911 by Katharine Gibbs. It changed its name during a ceremony on June 9. Richard E. Farmer, president of Gibbs College, will continue as the new president at the Sanford-Brown campus.
“We are delighted that Gibbs College of Boston is becoming part of the Sanford-Brown College network," he said in a statement. "Becoming a member of the Sanford-Brown network gives us the opportunity to continue to provide the Boston metropolitan area with a high-quality academic institution focused on training professionals in the healthcare and business fields."

The college will continue to offer degree and certificate programs in the fields of Medical Assisting, Health Information Management, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Practice Management, Medical Office Administration, Business Administration and more.
