Grace and the Carnivore / Bay Faction / Cherry Mellow

Live at The Red Room at Cafe 939 / 8pm / All Ages / $10 in advance / $12 day of show

Grace and the Carnivore is a sibling band from Boston. Comprising Grace Carney (vocals), twin brother John (piano), and younger brother Robert (drums), Grace and the Carnivore have been playing together since 2006. They have progressed from busking on the streets of Provincetown to gigging in clubs around Boston. In 2012, they were finalists in Fidelity Investment’s Young Artists Competition and performed on stage at Boston Symphony Hall alongside the Boston Pops. Their debut EP, Out of Context, was released in 2013, blending the pop sensibilities of acts like Sara Bareilles and A Fine Frenzy with undertones of jazz and rock music. In 2015, they combined these influences in their debut album, Look at Me.

Boston-based indie rock band Bay Faction can be defined as a mix of the Fray and Matchbox 20. With their only two influences being Scarecrow Boat and Mouserat, their debut, self-titled album is guaranteed to keep your ears happy and a tear in your eye.

Cherry Mellow is an East Coast meets West Coast mix of the Strokes, Foo Fighters, and the Doors. They've been described as indie Russian roulette and heavy mellow, and they've been on several tours throughout 15 states. Their full-length album, Feng Shui, will be released this summer.
