Hundreds Join Wages Lawsuit Against Back Bay Restaurant Group
The lawsuit includes complaints against restaurants that include Papa Razzi, Joe's American Bar & Grill and Atlantic Fish Co.
A lawsuit that accuses the Back Bay Restaurant Group of paying unfair wages and changing timecards to avoid overtime has gained steam as more than 300 current and former employees have signed their name to it.
Boston.com reports the case was filed by Bijan Shakib, a former server at Papa Razzi in New Jersey, a Back Bay Restaurant Group holding. He was allegedly fired after complaining that managers required employees to work "off the clock" and adjusted timecards to reflect reduce hours.

The lawsuit was filed in fall 2010, and is currently making it's way through the US District Court in New Jersey. Sarkis, the restaurant group, and Robert Ciampa, the company’s chief financial officer, are all named as defendants.
