Islamic Center Hosts Interfaith Events for Ramadan

Cultures worldwide are highlighted through free, interfaith events to break the fast during Ramadan.

With the start of Ramadan, the American Islamic Congress will be hosting a series of community events to break the fast.

The Boston-area AIC Center, located on Newbury Street, are set to open their doors bi-weekly for their Iftar dinners, a group fast breaking celebration.

The "Iftars Around the World" are each themed for a different geographical location, such as Asia or Africa. The last event even focuses on Muslim American life.

While the events are free, the AIC encourages participants to donate non-perishable items to benefit the Pine Street Inn or monetary donation to the AIC Center for programming in the spirit of "zekat," or giving.

Check out the events below and visit the AIC website to RSVP.
