Kay McCarthy Named Director of Catering At Top of the Hub & Skywalk Observatory

Raphael Oliver, General Manager at Top of the Hub and Skywalk Observatory, has announced the appointment of Kay McCarthy to the position of Director of Catering.  Ms. McCarthy joined the venerable dining and event location high atop The Prudential Tower in 1998 and previously served as Senior Catering Sales Manager.  In her new position, she will provide customized event planning services and manage logistics for corporate, social, bridal, charitable and private functions at both Top of the Hub and Skywalk Observatory.  She will also oversee all operational elements of the department as well as the organization's sizable banquet staff.

A graduate of Southern University of New Hampshire, Ms. McCarthy previously held sales and catering positions at such prestigious New York locations as The Marriott Financial Center Hotel, Tavern on the Green and The Plaza Hotel.

Oliver commented, "Top of the Hub and Skywalk have earned a distinguished reputation placing them among the city's most discerning dining and event destinations.  Kay has contributed to that reputation as a valuable member of the Top of the Hub team.  Her extensive contacts and meticulous management skills make her an ideal choice to lead our high-profile corporate sales, catering and event office."

In addition to Ms. McCarthy's new position, Oliver also announced the promotion of Meaghan Halliday to Senior Catering Sales Manager for Top of the Hub and Skywalk, and the welcome addition of Gina Fraumeni who will take over as Catering Sales Manager for private dining.
