Michael J. Edwards is General Manager at Top of the Hub & Skywalk
Select Restaurants has named Michael J. Edwards as General Manager of Top of the Hub Restaurant & Lounge and the Skywalk Observatory.
Michael J. Edwards has been named General Manager of Boston’s Top of the Hub Restaurant & Lounge and the Skywalk Observatory. Bringing more than 30 years of diverse experience in the food service industry to his new role, he will oversee all management operations including staffing, sales, and marketing.
The announcement was made by Alan Donatelli, President and C.O.O. of Select Restaurants, Inc., owner-operator of the restaurant and observatory.
Top of the Hub, celebrating more than 50 years of service to Boston’s discerning dining community, is located on the 52nd floor of The Prudential Tower in Boston’s Back Bay. The Skywalk Observatory, Boston’s only sky-high vantage point, is located directly below the restaurant on the 50th floor of the tower. Both properties offer sweeping views of Boston and beyond.
Mr. Edwards is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. For the past year, he has served as Assistant General Manager at Top of the Hub. He previously held key positions at several New England restaurants including Legal Seafoods Restaurant and Retail Fish Market, Flemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, and Joe’s American Bar & Grill.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Donatelli said, “Through his continued development of the business and team at the Top of the Hub and Skywalk Observatory, Mike has shown he possesses all the skills necessary to enhance the Top of the Hub’s reputation as one of the premier dining destinations in Boston.”
Top of the Hub is open seven days a week, serving lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch in addition to offering a late night dining menu and live entertainment seven nights a week.
Named one of the world's most romantic dining destinations by The Travel Channel, the restaurant is honored to have received continued industry recognition from Distinguished Restaurants of North America as well as multiple Awards of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine.
