Nemes / Deal Casino / The Whiskey Boys / Jeremiah Tall

An evening of live pop / rock music at Boston's premier all ages venue, the Red Room @ Cafe 939. August 6th 2015

Nemes has made its mark on the Boston music scene by playing everywhere from subway stations to rock venues across the city. Led by dual frontmen, this literal band of brothers has worked its way into the New England music scene, seeping into the ears of listeners all over the Northeast. With their upcoming album I Carry Your Heart dropping October 28, the band showcases their one-of-a-kind violin shredding and cut-to-the-core songwriting, earning their title as “one of the top five unsigned bands in the country” (AP Magazine). The album’s first two singles, “Butterfly” and “Black Streak,” have been experiencing success on local and national music blogs who all agree that this high-energy, heartfelt indie group has one of the most unique takes on music they have yet to hear.

Deal Casino is a call to action, a melodic plea for people to chase their dreams, risk it all, and leave nothing on the table. Deal Casino formed around this idea when members Joe, Jon, Mike, and Jozii, who had been playing in bands together since middle school, dropped out of college and moved to Asbury Park, New Jersey in 2013. They quickly became a staple of the burgeoning music scene there, releasing three EPs with producer Jon Leidersdorff. The Cocaine Love EP came out in April 2013, The Runaways EP followed in December 2013, and most recently the Heck EP dropped in December 2014. They appreciate good songwriting but also value the emotion behind the music. They push themselves to make their recordings organic and their performances sincere. To capture these ideals, Heck was tracked entirely live with minimal production, showcasing the true abilities of the band. Deal Casino has no plans to slow down, with a relentless performing schedule booked and additional music videos and EPs planned for 2015.

The Whiskey Boys are a Boston-based, modern, bluegrass and Americana band led by Berklee alumnus David Delaney. They tour the Northeast and have sold out such notable folk venues as the legendary Club Passim in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the Firebox in Hartford, Connecticut.

Inspired by an unwavering love for summers spent in the mountains along with the tall tales from his youth, Jeremiah Tall is a one-man show based out of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Tall’s tales range from the struggles of finding your feet in an ever-changing landscape to fictional stories of cowboys and the common man’s battle with the devil. A hand-painted suitcase converted into a kick drum provides a backbone to his own throwback spin on folk rock.

Admission: $10 / $5 for 5 Week attendees
