Grammy Award-winning Paula Cole returns to her Berklee roots by joining the college’s voice department next month. Cole graduated in 1990 from Berklee, after which she became a seven-time Grammy nominee and sold approximately three million albums. Throughout her career, Cole has released six solo albums and performed with icons like Dolly Parton and Peter Gabriel.
After being involved in school musicals, Cole got a scholarship from Berklee, where she studied jazz singing and improvisation. After graduating from Berklee, Cole toured America with Peter Gabriel for his Secret World Tour. Cole’s single “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997, and she won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist the following year.
From her hits of the 90s to her more recent renowned albums, Cole continues to write, produce, and perform meaningful music. After attending Berklee and getting solid experience in the music industry, Cole will now teach and give insight to Berklee students!
