Photo Gallery: Boston Marathon Runners at the Mass Ave. Bridge
Runners on Commonwealth Ave. dipped under the Mass Ave. bridge before turning onto Hereford Street and heading for the home stretch.
Runners faced their last significant uphill when crossing under the Massachusetts Avenue bridge over Commonwealth Avenue. The race used to cross Mass Ave, but in recent years was moved to the underpass to accommodate the larger running fields.
The elite runners have come and gone, but check back often for more photos as the rest of the field heads toward the finish line.
