Privateer Rum, the largest rum distillery in Massachusetts, will now for the first time, offer tours of its newly expanded distillery. Privateer Rum will offer exclusive guided tours, led by head distiller Maggie Campbell, offering a fascinating look inside Privateer’s proprietary process of elevating the quality of American rum.

Privateer’s expert production team will escort rum-lovers through every production step demonstrating how using the highest-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques of the finest brandy and whiskey makers result in America’s purest top-shelf rum. The production team will share how Privateer Rum relentlessly focuses on quality at every point in the production process, rejecting common industry practices including the use of sweeteners and artificial colorings or flavorings.

The tour ends with a tasting of Privateer’s Silver Reserve and True American Amber Rums in addition to a taste directly from the barrel, showcasing the quality stemming from its roots in 18th century American patriot and privateer, Andrew Cabot, the direct ancestor of Privateer Rum’s founder and CEO of the same name.

Privateer Rum Distillery Tour Program:

· Walk through the rows of rum barrels, aging in our barrel rooms

· Visit the Privateer bottling room and see where our signature rums are filled, sealed, labeled, signed and packaged by hand

· Get a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and artistry that goes into the making of truly great spirits, including tasting the raw ingredients, fermentation distillation, aging and batching

· Meet members of Privateer’s production team, who hand-crafted our award-winning rums

· Taste a flight of rums including unreleased batches of Privateer Silver Reserve and Privateer Amber True American Rums, led by a Privateer ambassador.

Tours are 75 minutes and are Fridays and Saturdays by appointment.
