“Our running team symbolizes the struggles of our families with their hard work, dedication and commitment to reach the finish line,” said Linda Wood-Boyle, Executive Director of Project Hope. “Their journey of 26.2 miles, and all the training leading up to it, helps us raise vital funds and connects us to new sources of support. About Project Hope
Project Hope was founded in 1981 when the Little Sisters of the Assumption opened the doors of their Magnolia Street convent so homeless women and children could live with them. Over the years, Project Hope's mission expanded beyond sheltering families and providing childcare to a multi-service agency at the forefront of efforts in Boston to move families up and out of poverty. Project Hope provides low-income women with children access to education, jobs, housing, and emergency services; fosters their personal transformation; and works for broader systems change. www.prohope.org
